June 2004 - "Making love with asian girl on meadow"


Nick Knight based his Pirelli calendar's images on women's sexual fantasies.
"I decided if I was going to do the calendar, I was going to try to change it in some way."....
So Knight approached a range of famous women and asked them to tell him their sexual fantasies, their dreams, their desires, which he would then interpret - using models - month by month in the calendar...A fascinating group of women responded to his request: authors Catherine Millet and Elizabeth Wurtzel, artist Tracey Emin, singers Bjork, Courtney Love and Marianne Faithfull, and actresses Catherine Deneuve, Emmanuelle Seigner, Liv Tyler and Isabella Rossellini, among others.
"I had lengthy phone conversations, a lot of them very late at night, with these famous women, when I was asking them to tell me: 'What are your thoughts about sex? What are your fantasies?'...Knight made one promise to his confidantes: that he would never reveal whose fantasy was whose. We'll never be certain who said what.
